– Main Data of
Trasobares – Surface
of the municipality: 71.8 km 2 . Altitude: 650 ms. Population,
249 trasobarinos and trasobarinas. It
is in the region of the Aranda , at 88 km from the city of Zaragoza. Trasobares
is in the left margin of the Isuela river, that flows in Purujosa, on the hillside of Moncayo.
The Isuela is tributary of the Ebro. Equipment.
- Camping, with summer swimming pool and a coffeshop. The camping is a good
base to visit the Natural Park of Moncayo by the less well-known slope. Foundation.
- In 1190 Trasobares received the constitutional letter by Toda Ramírez,
abbess of the monastery of Bernardas nuns built in the population. In 1188
Alfonso II of Aragón gave to Toda Ramirez the domain of Trasobares, Tabuenca
and Aguarón. |
Monuments.
– They remain the renaissance façade of the convent, from1531, the church of
the Asuncion, with an exceptional organ, and its moorish tower. Celebrations.-
15 and 16 of August, greater celebrations of Asuncion and Saint Roque; 8 of
May, excursion to the hermitage of Saint Cristóbal. Near
populations. - Tarazona and Borja (North), Almunia de Doña Godina and
Cariñena (South) and Calatayud (West). Surroundings. -
Natural park of Moncayo, with 9,848 hectares of twelve municipalities. The
Park was created in 1998 and extended the Meadow of Moncayo, of 1927. The
bulk has the highest top of the Iberian mountain range, with 2,373 meters.
The vegetation is of woods of holm-oaks, oak woods, pine groves and grazings.
Among other fauna, there are larks, vultures, vipers and wild boars.
